An adventure story of family love and loyalty. Sam Isaac and his sister, Charlotte, are alone when three strange Indians invade their frontier home. The youngsters try to escape, but Charlotte is captured and taken away. Seeing his mother's heartbreak and his father's anguish, Sam feels he must somehow find and rescue his sister.

While searching for Charlotte, he meets up with a crusty old bear trapper and his dog who agree to help him.
